Privacy Policy

This policy explains how The Pool Mania team ("we", "us") handles information in the Pool Mania app for iPhone ("the game") and on this website.

1. Your anonymous account

When you first open the game, it creates an anonymous account for you with our backend. The account is identified only by a random ID. We don't ask for your name, email address, phone number or Apple ID, and you don't need to sign up. A sign-in token is kept in your device's Keychain so the game can reconnect to your account.

2. What we collect

Game data (to run the game)

• Your anonymous player ID.
• Your saved game: level, XP, coins and gems, the items you own and use, level stars, season and event progress, chests, missions and match statistics.
• Your coin and gem history: a record of each time coins or gems are earned or spent in the game, so balances stay correct and can't be paid twice.
• The display name and avatar you pick. Other players can see these in online matches and on leaderboards. Please don't use your real name or anything personal as your display name.
• Purchases: when you buy something in the game, Apple sends us a receipt with the transaction ID, the product, the date, and the price, currency and store country. We use it to deliver what you bought, restore it, and prevent fraud. We never receive your name, Apple ID or payment card details.
• Online matches: the moves of each online match, your rating and your match results, so both players see the same game and the result is settled fairly.

Gameplay and usage data (to improve the game)

• Events such as starting and finishing a match or a level, which screens and features are used, purchases (with coins, gems or real money), ads watched, and how long sessions last.
• Shot details (power, spin, aim time, outcome) for a sample of matches, so we can balance the computer opponents and the levels.
• Device and app details: device model, iOS version, app version, language, the region setting on your device, and time zone.
• Performance and diagnostic data: frame rate during matches, error codes, and whether your device's clock differs from the server's.

These records are linked to your anonymous player ID, not to your identity. We don't use them ourselves to track you across other apps or websites.

Ads

The game shows ads, including optional videos you can watch for a reward. You can buy "Remove Ads" to turn off ads you didn't choose to watch. Ads are served by our advertising partners, which may collect:

• device and app details (model, iOS version, language, and approximate location derived from your IP address);
• which ads you saw and tapped, to count views, prevent ad fraud and pay out rewards;
• your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you tap "Allow" in Apple's "Allow Tracking" prompt. If you don't, ads are not personalized to you across apps. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Our ad partners handle this data under their own privacy policies, linked in section 4.

What we don't collect

• Your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location.
• Your payment card or bank details. Apple processes all payments.
• Your advertising identifier, unless you allow tracking in Apple's prompt.

Like any online service, our hosting provider receives your IP address when the game connects, and may keep it briefly in server logs for security and to keep the service running. We don't use it to find your location or to build a profile of you.

3. Why we use it

• To run the game: save and restore your progress (for example after reinstalling), play online matches, and show leaderboards.
• To deliver and restore purchases, and to show ads and give you the rewards for the ones you watch.
• To keep it fair: check that coins and gems were earned legitimately, and detect cheating and tampered clocks.
• To improve it: find where players get stuck, balance difficulty and rewards, and fix crashes and slowdowns.

Where the law requires a legal basis (such as the GDPR), we rely on performing our agreement with you (providing the game and what you buy), on our legitimate interest in keeping the game fair, secure and enjoyable, and on your consent for personalized ads, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your information. We work with:

• Supabase, which hosts our database and servers and processes data only on our behalf. Its servers may be in a different country from yours.
• Apple, which processes payments and the tracking prompt.
• Our advertising partners (listed here before ads go live), which serve ads as described above.

Other players see only your display name, avatar, level, rating and match results. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your anonymous account exists, so your progress isn't lost. If you delete the app without using "Delete my data", your account stays on our server, but it can no longer be linked to you. We may delete accounts that have been inactive for a long time. We may keep totals that can't identify anyone (for example, how many matches were played last month).

6. Deleting your data

In the game, open Settings → Delete my data. This deletes your account and everything linked to it from our server right away, and resets the game on your device. Because your account is anonymous, this is the most reliable way to delete it. If you can't use it, email [email protected] and we'll help you find and delete your account.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to object to how we use it. To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. Because we don't know who you are, we'll ask for details that help us find your account, such as your display name. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Children

The game doesn't ask for personal information from anyone, including children, and we don't knowingly show personalized ads to children. Account data is anonymous. If you believe a child has entered personal information (for example as a display name), contact us and we'll remove it.

9. Security

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). On our server, each player can reach only their own records, and coin and gem balances are checked by the server. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

10. This website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or trackers.

11. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant (for example, a new kind of data), we'll also tell you in the game.
